I am a DCFS employee and a foster parent. I want you all to know how much these bags mean to the children.  I see them at work when they are given out to the kids who have just been picked up for placement in foster homes. I see them at home when my own foster children spread them out on the floor and delight in all the contents.

I wish all of you could know how much this means to the children who have just been removed from their home and have not been able to take anything else with them.  Just try to imagine leaving your home with just the clothes on your back.

I will be retiring in February but I believe that this project is so important that I will continue to pick up bags for the Colville office.

You are all to be commended for the wonderful job you do of assembling these bags and the quality and quantity of the contents.  We all appreciate everything you do for the children.  ”One hundred years from now the world may be different because you were important in the life of a child”.  You are making a difference in many children’s lives.  Keep up the good work.
